Where did you go today?
At the pumpkin farm. The pumpkin patch.
What did you see?
Some animals, some toys, some pumpkins.
Did you see any special pumpkins?
Yeah a real-ly big, big, big one.
Did you learn how pumpkins grow?
Yeah.
How do they grow?
With seeds. They plant seeds, then we went on a hayride.
So, you go on a hayride?
Yeah, hayrides are good, Mom. On the hayride, I said “this is fun”.
Did you see any animals?
Yeah.
What kind?
Cows, horses, pigs, llamas, goats, ducks, turkeys, a donkey. That’s all the animals I see’d.
Did you get to pick a pumpkin?
Yeah. Two.
Why did you choose these pumpkins?
Because I was going home after I picked my pumpkins.
Do you want to name your pumpkins?
Yeah. Tiny Weeny and Tonko.
Where should we keep them?
On the table over here (the dining room table).
Did you have fun?
Yeah!
What else did you learn?
About the weather, singing weather watcher.
(sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques")
Weather watcher, weather watcher.
Look outside, look outside.
Tell us what the weather's like, tell us what the weather's like.
Sun, rain, clouds, sun, rain, clouds.
What else do you want to tell me about?</em>
Did you sing that at school or at the pumpkin patch?
School.
Who taught it to you?
My teacher.
When you sang that song, what was the weather like outside?
Cloudy.
What else can you tell about your field trip.
We used cars, my friend Will rode with us. At the hay maze they made tunnels.
Did you get lost in the hay maze?
Yeah and I had to go backwards to find my way out. And then they made a shortcut with a tunnel, so we could cross our way back. I went backwards with all my friends and there was both a mean kid and a Logan and I tried to hide from them and then I find my way out.
Do you want to go back to the pumpkin farm again?
Yes and play on the playground and meet the animals and go on the hayride.
