In the Paint Again
Instead of boring you with entries about this being Daniel’s last Wednesday at preschool…It’s the very last Wednesday he’ll ever go to preschool, can you believe it?!?….sorry, I couldn’t help myself..I thought I would show you what I’ve been working on in Daniel’s room.
If you’ll remember, this was Daniel’s room before:
At first he wanted a space room, then he decided he wanted a Knight’s room…so I tried to combine the two as best I could. Half of his walls are painted dark and have a sea of stars painted on them (complete with constellations) that glow in the dark. The other half of the walls are actually left over blue from his Hawaiian theme, but I’ve added clouds and will soon add a sun to finish it up. Then I hung a castle canopy over his bed to help with the Knight’s portion of the room. He can rule his kingdom in day or knight (get it??…knight, night?? Daniel and I have made this joke several times and it never gets old, to us at least).
I do have a few more things left to do, like painting the sun and probably a moon. I also need to change out the plates on the outlets and wall switches since they still have blue hibiscus on them and then get some simple curtains for the windows. We’ll probably pick up some medieval accessories this weekend at the Renaissance Festival too.
I can’t really think of a way to wrap this up, so I’ll just say stay tuned until tomorrow when I post about Daniel’s last Thursday at school!
