Happy National Spaghetti Day!
Seems like there was something else going on today too…
Oh yeah…Daniel and that whole birthday thing.
So, I guess I couldn’t stop it from happening. My baby turned six. Six! Six whole years old. Six is so much older than five…or so it seems.
He had a wonderful day and a great party this evening. Today really is National Spaghetti Day, which Daniel discovered in a magazine about a week ago. He was pretty excited because spaghetti is is very favorite food and requested spaghetti at his party. We ordered some pizza and I made a big pot of spaghetti and a spaghetti cake.

The spaghetti cake contained no actual spaghetti. It was actually chocolate cake with butter cream "spaghetti", strawberry jam "sauce" and white chocolate "cheese".
He got lots of great stuff and is anxiously awaiting a shopping spree tomorrow to spend all his gift cards and money (= Target trip!)!
So far, six seems to suit him. He did mention that he kind of missed being five, but I have a feeling that that won’t last too long.
